Wendy Shay Files Official Police Report After Viral Video Sparks Lesbianism Allegations

Ghanaian music star Wendy Shay has taken legal action after a disturbing viral video surfaced online, falsely accusing her of being involved in a lesbian relationship.

The video, recorded by an unidentified young man, claimed that the “Too Late” hitmaker was sexually involved with Tracy Shay, the young girl she took under her wing after the child gained attention for dancing to one of her songs. The man further alleged without evidence that a spiritualist had instructed Wendy Shay to engage in inappropriate acts with the girl.

Shocked by the claims, Wendy Shay publicly appealed to Ghanaians to help her identify the individual behind the video. She also announced a GHS 5,000 reward for anyone who could provide information leading to his location.

Soon after, the singer released an official statement confirming that she had reported the matter to the Ghana Police Service. According to information she received, the man responsible for the defamatory video is currently based in the United Arab Emirates, where he works with a construction company.

Her statement read:

“Over the past few days, I became aware of a false, damaging video circulating online about me. I want to reassure my fans, my loved ones, and the general public that every allegation in that video is fabricated and was clearly created to tarnish my image.

I have formally reported the issue to the Ghana Police Service, and investigations have begun. I have also been informed that the individual behind the video has been traced to the United Arab Emirates. Steps are being taken through the appropriate authorities to ensure he is held accountable.

I am fully cooperating with the police and trust that justice will be served. I encourage everyone to continue speaking up against cyberbullying, online harassment, and malicious attacks on innocent people.”

Wendy Shay reaffirmed her commitment to letting the law take its course while urging the public to help combat the rise of false online content meant to destroy reputations.
